Life and Music of Ole Hendricks – by Sons of Norway Club

Join us Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 7:00 P.M. at the Isanti County Historical Society Heritage Center.

We will learn about the life and recently discovered music of Ole Hendricks (1850-1935), Isanti County farmer and gifted fiddle player. Ole immigrated as a child from Telemark, Norway. His fiddle is on display at the Vesterheim Museum in Decorah, Iowa and his music has been played at the Nisswa-stämman Scandinavian Music Festival in Nisswa, MN. Ole’s story and music will be shared by descendant Tammie Hendricks Creasy and Amy Shaw, a music researcher from St. Catherine’s University.
